The boys had a blast performing for the Windy City Wire folks on the 17th. Thanks to everyone in attendance for making the show one for the record books! Highlights include opening for the timeless .38 Special and working with the
great U2 tribute band VertigoUSA. (Great job "Bono" on Lick It Up!)
Special thanks go out to Jason Gibbs from Pekin, IL. Jason donned the Space Ace persona and filled in on lead guitar for our Windy City show - doing an incredible job in the process! Jason will be performing with the KINGS for the remainder of 2007. Don't miss the opportunity to see this Spaceman in action!

---item name--->Kings in the Chicago Sun-Times!
In an article appearing in
the Sunday online addition of the Chicago Sun-Times, the KINGS
are listed among other Chicago-area bands that play tribute to the
classics... bands like Animation (Rush) and American English (The Beatles).
The lead-in piece looks at the phenomenon that is Tributosaurus
and is quite worth the read as well.
Thanks to the Sun-Times' Thomas Conner for including the KINGS!

---item name--->Kings on the Discovery Channel!
The KINGS received a very special
holiday gift, courtesy of the Discovery Channel. On Dec 29, 2005
the Discovery Channel aired a program entitled Pop Nation.
The show devoted one of it's 3 segments that evening to KISS
and included a mention of the KINGS when the topic of
tribute bands arose. Discovery Channel also proudly displayed
the KINGS as shown in their current promo photo during this portion of the show.
Needless to say, we are thrilled with this high profile exposure.
A special thanks goes out to producer Jake Laufer for introducing
the KINGS to a national television audience.
Stay tuned for more
info on when this program will be replayed.
Thanks Discovery Channel!

---item name--->It's All About The Fans!
One thing we like to point out is how we're fans too. When we're not on stage,
we're in front of one, looking up. One of the more surprising benefits of
our current situation is the occassion to meet & greet with some of Rock's
best artists in a more personal setting, musicians whose music we grew up
with and still listen to.
We thought we'd share with you a few autographs we've collected along the way.
Eric Singer was a guest speaker at Kiss Fest in Elgin, Illinois, back in Sept. of
2002. We had the chance to exchange a few words and got his autograph on one of our
promo photos of the time (click for a closer look)
Warrant was on the bill at this summer's Rockin' on the Runway fest in Columbus, Nebraska
(along with the KINGS, of course). They were very personable and professional, fun to hang out with.
The boys were nice enough to sign this year's model (again, click for closer look):
